Job summary

QT Technologies Ireland Limited in Cork, Ireland, seeks an AI/Agent Architect Engineer to design system architectures, connect AI models to external services and APIs, and craft prompt engineering and reasoning pipelines for autonomous agents. You will implement memory/state management for multi-turn conversations and establish guardrails for production use.

Required: Python/JavaScript/TypeScript, LangChain familiarity, REST APIs, vector stores, and cloud platform knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 2+ years ASIC design/verification experience or higher degrees with related work.
• Experience with AI/ML integration, data pipelines, and system integration.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript or TypeScript; familiarity with LangChain and API usage.

General Summary

• Agent Architecture & Design: Design system architecture that breaks high-level user goals into executable, autonomous steps.
• API & Tool Integration: Connect AI models to external services, databases, and APIs so agents can actively manipulate data and perform actions.
• Prompt Engineering & Reasoning: Craft system prompts, chain-of-thought pathways, and function-calling logic to guide agent decision-making and tool usage.
• Memory & State Management: Implement short-term and long-term memory systems so agents maintain context across conversations and workflows.
• Monitoring & Guardrails: Monitor agent behavior in production, define safety guardrails, and implement error handling and human-in-the-loop workflows for critical tasks.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

• Programming Languages: Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
• AI Frameworks: Familiarity with frameworks used to orchestrate agents and chains (e.g., LangChain).
• LLM Competency: Deep understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), tokenization, embeddings, and API capabilities.
• System Integrations: Experience with RESTful APIs, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Infrastructure: Understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) for deploying and scaling intelligent applications.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 2+ years of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• OR Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field and 1+ year of ASIC design, verification, validation, integration, or related work experience.
• OR PhD in Science, Engineering, or related field.
