Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Job Description

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

  • Day-to-day responsibility for children in your room.
  • Implementing and reviewing activities appropriate to the individual and group needs to support physical, language, emotional, social and cognitive development.
  • Providing a caring and safe environment and communicating with parents/guardians.
  • Choosing, organising and maintaining equipment and materials.
  • Overseeing that all records are kept up to date in your room and updating records regarding the child and their daily routine.
  • Working with all staff for the benefit of the child.
  • Awareness of Health and Safety regulations.
