Job summary

ST.MONICA'S YOUTH RESOURCE CENTRE LIMITED is seeking a Youth Worker Assistant to support the after‑school programme for youths aged 11–16. The role involves planning activities, assisting with three afternoon sessions weekly, and helping with a weekly club night and occasional outdoor activities.

No prior experience is required as accredited training will be provided; a welcoming, supportive approach and good communication are essential, with hours in the afternoon and evening offering

Qualifications

• Eligible applicants must be 21+ and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more, or 18+ for certain groups.

Responsibilities

• Assist youth leaders in planning and facilitating the after-school programme for young people aged 11–16.
• Work three afternoons per week as part of the after-school programme.
• Assist with club night group activities one evening per week and occasional outdoor activities.
• Provide a welcoming and supportive environment, demonstrating good communication skills.
• Complete job-related training and up-skill opportunities.
