Job description

Our client, a private Healthcare Group based in Dublin 5 that provides rehabilitation and reablement, complex care management and transitional & step‑down care for patients discharged from hospital, is looking to hire a full‑time Assistant Director of Nursing / Nurse Practice Development Coordinator to support the Director of Nursing and their clinical and care team.

Key Duties
  • Maintain and improve high standards of nursing care and plan, develop, and review projects that strengthen nursing practice.
  • Support the development and updating of nursing policies and procedures to meet best practice and regulatory standards.
  • Function as the Person‑in‑Charge when required, in line with the Health Act 2007 and HIQA standards.
  • Complete all required HIQA notifications and reports accurately and on time.
  • Delegate tasks appropriately, considering staff competence and experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal, professional, and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in audits, inspections, and quality assurance activities.
  • Monitor and review care standards regularly through audits and feedback.
  • Identify and address gaps in training, procedures, and service delivery.
  • Must be fully registered with An Bord Altranais/NMBI and have an active PIN.
  • Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role.
  • Evidence of ongoing Continuous Professional Development (CPD) with a relevant NPD qualification.
  • Post‑registration qualification in Caring for People with Dementia.
