This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.
CRY Ireland (Cardiac Risk in the Young) is an Irish Charity, founded in 2002. Our vision is focused on supporting people who have or may be impacted by sudden cardiac death. Our mission is to provide free emotional support services, facilitate access to free screening and supporting research and awareness initiatives for people across the island of Ireland affected by an inherited cardiac condition or the loss of a young person to sudden cardiac death.
The role will involve inputting clients and families personal details on a data base that has been designed for the charity and the supports that are offered to them.

Informal Training: The Family Support Programme Coordinator will work closely with the participant explaining the daily routines of the Programme and how families access the supports offered by CRY Ireland. This will happen throughout the working day where there will be lots of opportunity for the Family Support Programme to train the participant in how the charity conduct their daily business and how support is given to families.
Formal Training: QQI WPEP Training with ETB's will be promoted and encouraged. HSE Child First Training will be organised for the participant. Irish Hospice Foundation Core Competencies Training in Bereavement and Loss for support staff will be organised for the participant. 2 x 4 hourly training sessions with Mindaclient (Charity Data Base Supplier) will be organised for the participant.
