Accounts Assistant – Buncrana, Co. Donegal

Work Arrangement: On-site, 5 days per week
Parking: Private parking available
Eligibility: Must hold long-term permission to work in Ireland (Stamp 4 or equivalent). Stamp 1G is not accepted (unless spousal); no sponsorship available.

About the Role

We are seeking a committed Accounts Assistant to join a busy, established finance team supporting a high-volume nationwide retail client. You will join a collaborative team of three bookkeepers where workloads are shared, and everyone is encouraged to contribute across all areas of accounts. This is a hands‑on position offering excellent exposure to a wide variety of finance functions in a fast‑paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Accounts receivable and accounts payable processing
  • Credit control and customer account management
  • Weekly and monthly payroll duties
  • High-volume data entry and invoice processing
  • Bank reconciliations and balance tracking
  • Cost analysis and reporting support
  • Assisting with financial planning activities
  • Supporting general bookkeeping tasks as required across the team
What We’re Looking For
  • 1+ years’ experience in an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper role
  • Background in a high-volume, fast-paced finance environment
  • Strong numeracy, accuracy, and attention to detail
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small, supportive team
  • Positive, adaptable attitude with willingness to get involved in all tasks
  • Must live within a commutable distance of Buncrana, Co. Donegal
  • Must hold Stamp 4 or other long-term work entitlement (no sponsorship / no Stamp 1G)
