Qualifications

• 3+ years CNC milling experience, preferably with 5-axis machines.
• Mastercam programming experience is essential.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, feeds/speeds and tooling.
• Ability to work independently during off-peak hours.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in precision engineering or high-spec industries.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM workflows.
• Comfort working solo or with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a 5-axis CNC milling machine during evening/weekend shifts.
• Create, edit and optimise Mastercam toolpaths and programs.
• Interpret technical drawings and engineering models accurately.
• Complete tool changes, offsets and fixture setups.
• Monitor machining performance and ensure quality standards are met.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Work autonomously while ensuring safety and production targets are met.
