WORKSHOP OPERATOR (Based in Tangerang)
Job Description:
- Operate workshop machinery and equipment (CNC machines, lathes, grinding machine, lapping machine, drills, etc.) to manufacture products or components.
- Set up machines according to specifications and ensure proper calibration.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols while performing tasks.
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and minor repairs on workshop machinery to ensure proper and safe operation.
- Work with team members to ensure timely and efficient production and quality control.
- Ensure that the workshop is kept clean and organized.
- Report and document production details, including material used, output, working hours, progress, and issues during production/machining process.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and provide feedback to enhance workflow efficiency.
- Willing to travel to sites for on‑site service jobs.
Job Qualification:
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in setting up, operating, and performing routine maintenance on 3‑axis CNC milling machines & lathe machine is mandatory.
- Ability to accurately read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficiency in creating, modifying, and optimizing complete CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks).
- Understanding how to select appropriate cutting tools, inserts, and workholding devices (chucks, collets) for different materials (metals, plastics, etc.), and calculating optimal speeds and feeds.
- Expertise in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges to perform quality control checks and ensure parts meet exact specifications.
- Ability to operate various workshop machinery and tools is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and precision in handling production tasks.
- Problem‑solving skills to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions.
- Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors.
- Basic knowledge of workshop safety practices and protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
- Previous experience working in a workshop or manufacturing environment is highly desirable.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform manual tasks.
