Job summary

Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is seeking a Workshop Assistant to maintain and monitor workshop operations for our fleet across estate, mill, and bulking needs. You will create and manage schedules for excavators, dump trucks, and other heavy equipment, ensuring optimal availability and fuel efficiency.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of workshop experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Workshop Assistant.
• Experience in monitoring heavy equipment performance including availability and fuel efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Create and manage the machine operation schedule for excavators, vibrators, graders and dump trucks.
• Monitor tool usage and dump truck operations for efficiency and availability.
• Track heavy equipment performance: availability, utilization, fuel and tire usage.
• Coordinate with surfacing, administration and maintenance teams for schedules and vehicle upkeep.
• Request spare parts and equipment as needed.

Job Description Summary:

Maintain and monitoring the workshop operation at selected unit transport in order to achieve targeted truck fleet available requirement for estate, mill and bulking requirement

Job Descriptions :

• Creating and managing the machine operation schedule (excavators, vibrators and graders) and dump truck operations
• Operational monitoring of the tool berta and dumpt truck.
• Monitoring of heavy equipment vehicle performance: availability, utilization, and efficiency of fuel consumption.
• Monitoring of dump truck vehicle performance: availability, utilization, and efficiency of fuel consumption and tire usage.
• Coordinate with related sections (surfacing, administration, askep, etc.) for operational schedules and vehicle maintenance.
• Make requests for spare parts and equipment needed.

Job Requirements :

• Minimal Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Having minimal 2 years of working experience in as Workshop Assistant
• Having experience to handle heavy equipment vehicle performance: availability, utilization, and efficiency of fuel consumption.
• Willing to be located in Sumatera Utara
