Job Role

The Wireless Product Manager – Microwave Transmission Solutions drives the company's growth in wireless transport by promoting its microwave backhaul products and solutions to telecom operators across Indonesia. This role sits at the intersection of product strategy, pre‑sales engagement, and technical support, with a focus on increasing market share and supporting project bidding through competitive and well‑aligned solutions.

The Product Manager works closely with internal sales teams and external customers to understand wireless transmission needs, educate clients on the company's offerings, and guide microwave planning discussions. They also identify new market opportunities, perform competitive analysis, and support both account expansion and strategic deal closure. As a key product interface, this role ensures the microwave portfolio is properly positioned, localized, and continuously improved to meet evolving operator demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Strategy & Market Development
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve microwave product sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Identify new market opportunities and expand the microwave footprint in Indonesia’s telecom sector.
  • Support marketing actions to grow brand visibility and product adoption within key operator accounts.
  • Customer Engagement & Account Management
  • Build strong relationships with existing and prospective customers, understanding their wireless transmission needs and network evolution plans.
  • Actively educate clients on the microwave portfolio, roadmap, and planning guidelines.
  • Engage with multiple levels of customer stakeholders to influence decisions and drive solution adoption.
  • Solution Development
  • Lead and support project bidding activities by developing competitive, technically sound, and deliverable microwave transmission solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales, technical, and planning teams to align the wei’s solution with customer requirements and budget.
  • Provide quotation support, technical documentation, and participate in presentations or negotiations when required.
  • Market Intelligence
  • Monitor competitor activity (e.g., NEC, SIAE, Ceragon, Ericsson, Nokia), analyze strengths/weaknesses, and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Contribute to product localization or differentiation by gathering market insights and translating customer feedback into actionable input.
  • Cross‑Functional Collaboration & Knowledge Growth
  • Coordinate with pre‑sales, delivery, and planning teams to ensure smooth handover and customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously learn and expand knowledge across other wireless product areas to broaden solution offerings and team contribution.
Candidate Requirements
  • Education: At least a Bachelor’s Degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or other ICT-related disciplines.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 2 years of work experience in the telecommunication industry, in product management, solution sales, or pre‑sales roles.
  • At least 1 year of direct sales experience in the telecommunication industry, and 2 years of experience in microwave transmission products.
  • Industry and Product Expertise:
  • Strong understanding of microwave transmission, including planning concepts, solution models, and typical business cases in the Indonesian telecom market.
  • Familiarity with sales procedures, wireless product positioning, and telco delivery processes is an advantage.
  • Prior experience handling or competing with microwave vendors such as NEC, SIAE, Ericsson, Ceragon, or Nokia is highly desirable.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Ability to lead pre‑sales engagements, respond to RFPs, and propose competitive technical solutions.
  • Comfortable with client presentations, basic microwave network planning, and cross‑team coordination (sales, planning, delivery).
  • Knowledge of Indonesia telecom market dynamics, operator structure, and wireless network evolution.
  • Language: Fluency in English, both written and spoken. Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
  • Professional Qualities:
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Self‑driven, resilient under pressure, and highly target‑oriented.
  • Willing to travel frequently or relocate as needed to support customer engagement or project delivery.
