Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking an Assembly and Test Technician to ensure manufacturing quality and adherence to product specifications and customer requirements. You will review documents, verify inputs, and collaborate with Suppliers, SQE, and manufacturing teams to resolve issues.

You will contribute to continuous improvement, support audits, and communicate effectively across levels in a fast-paced environment, with English proficiency and attention to detail required.

Qualifications

• Requires degree in engineering or similar technical discipline.
• Must understand technical specifications, drawings and oil & gas manufacturing processes.
• Knowledge of continuous improvement concepts and problem-solving methodologies.
• Familiar with QMS ISO 9001; API Q1; knowledge of API 6A, API 17D is a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to influence at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Ensure manufacturing inputs comply with product and process specifications and customer requirements.
• Review and ensure all inputs (Work Order, Inspection & Test Plan, Special Quality Requirements, etc.) are implemented.
• Review supplier and internal/external manufacturing documents for compliance.
• Liaise with Suppliers, SQE, Manufacturing and other teams to resolve discrepancies.
• Communicate document review results to stakeholders and teams.
• Drive manufacturing quality improvements with cross-functional teams.
• Support internal and external audits.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be driving the quality of product and process through the implementation of Continual Improvement tools and initiatives by using effective methodology (Lean Sigma, etc), and make sure the product output is meeting Baker Hughes specifications and customer requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

• Making sure the input for manufacturing process is according to product and process specification, special customer requirements and other applicable project requirements by reviewing the manufacturing document output from internal and external
• Making sure all the process inputs (Work Order, Inspection & Test Plan, Special Quality Requirements, Product Specifications, etc.) are implemented and complied throughout the manufacturing processes and products
• Performing supplier and internal/external manufacturing documents review to make sure its compliance to product & process specifications and applicable standards.
• Liaising with relevant parties (Suppliers, SQE, Manufacturing, Inter company, etc), for any discrepancy from the review and make sure the resolutions are implemented.
• Communicating the performance of the document review result to stakeholders and other Baker Hughes team.
• Driving manufacturing quality improvement by liaising with cross functional teams to provide high quality standard of products and processes
• Supporting internal and external audits

To be successful in this role you need to:

• Have degree in engineering or similar technical discipline with minimum 4 years of experience in Oil and Gas manufacturing industry
• Prove ability to understand technical specifications, drawings, Oil and Gas manufacturing process
• Have good understanding in continuous improvement concept and problem-solving methodology and risk based thinking
• Be well versed in QMS standard ISO 9001 and API Q1. Knowledge of API 6A, API 17D and other industrial standards would be an advantage
• Have strong quality mindset and effective communication
• Be familiar in building and managing Power BI would be an advantage
• Have excellent communication and influencing skills to all levels in the organization since this role will connect to cross diverse team
• Have good written and verbal English communication skills
• Prove the ability to work in tight deadlines and high-level attention of details
