Job summary

Macquarie Group is seeking a Platform Engineer focused on API gateways and developer platforms. You will operate Kubernetes-based gateways (Envoy-based), manage CI/CD tooling, and enable GitOps workflows on AWS EKS.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with OpenAPI/AsyncAPI, OAuth2/JWT/mTLS security patterns, and IaC with Terraform and Helm. You will build self-service capabilities and drive automation across platforms.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in API gateways and API management across modern platforms.
• Hands-on Kubernetes-based gateway platforms (Envoy-based) with Gloo exposure.
• Experience with AWS EKS, Terraform, Helm, and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD/Flux).
• CI/CD and developer platforms with self-service automation and GitOps.
