Job summary

AI Powered is seeking a Bali-based videographer to capture founder life and work in vlog-style, documentary format. You will deliver raw footage quickly to the creative team and may assist with basic event coverage. You will work on a one-month contractor trial, with full-time collaboration alongside Andi, the brand strategist, and Ross, the creative lead.

Ownership of the footage pipeline, logging, and delivery is essential. No editing is required, but editing skills are welcome as a bonus.

A videographer role focused on one thing: capturing Ross’s life and work on camera, and getting that footage into the hands of the creative team fast. Vlog-first, documentary-style, highly flexible. Strategy and editing are covered. We need the person behind the camera.

About AI Powered

AI Powered (aipowered.xyz) is an education and events business. We teach people and companies to use AI (Claude) through online cohort programmes and one-to-one mentoring, build websites, funnels and AI automations for clients, speak on stages across Asia, and are building a series of AI events in Indonesia: starting in Bali in September 2026, with a multi-day flagship planned for April 2027. Today the team includes the founder, a virtual assistant, a brand strategist and creative director, video editing support, and a junior project manager.

The role

The next chapter is a serious personal brand: vlog-style lifestyle content from Bali, a YouTube channel built properly from the ground up, and world-class coverage of the events we run. Andi (Brand Strategist and Creative Director) sets creative direction. A video editor cuts the content. Your job is to give them consistently excellent raw material, organised and delivered fast. You do not need to edit. Editing skills are a genuine bonus, not a requirement. None of the full scope below is expected in a trial month. We focus on a small agreed slate first. Think of this as the menu, not the meal.

What you’ll own

Full scope

Vlog-style and lifestyle filming

• Follow shoot days documentary-style: teaching, building, speaking, travelling, training, everyday life in Bali
• Work in the background: natural moments over staged ones, with the discipline to wait for the shot rather than direct it
• Film talking-head pieces and sit-down setups with clean, professional audio when the content calls for it
• Stay flexible: shoot days move with the calendar and will include some early mornings, evenings and event days. We plan the week together, but this is never nine to five

Footage coordination and delivery

• Own the footage pipeline end to end: offload, back up, organise and label everything on the day it is shot
• Deliver footage to Andi and the editing team fast, in an agreed folder structure and format, so the edit never waits on the shoot
• Keep a simple shot log for every shoot day: what was captured, the highlights, and the moments worth cutting first
• Nothing gets lost: two copies of everything before the day ends

Working with the creative team

• Take creative direction from Andi: shot lists, references, formats and the brand look
• Learn what the editor needs and shoot for the edit: coverage, b-roll, cutaways, clean audio and room tone
• Join a simple weekly rhythm with Andi, the editor and Ross: what is shooting, what has been delivered, what is coming up
• Share what you see: you are closest to the raw moments, so flag the ones that deserve to become content

Event coverage

• Film AI Powered events, starting with the September 2026 event in Bali and building to the April 2027 flagship
• Help coordinate additional local videographers and photographers on event days as crews scale up
• Capture keynotes, panels and atmosphere, and get footage to the editing team for recaps, speaker clips and sponsor deliverables

Editing: a bonus, not the job

• If you also edit, that is a real plus: selects, rough cuts or finished edits would be scoped and paid separately
• At minimum, an instinct for how editors think will make your footage better

Requirements

• Indonesian citizen based in Bali with the legal right to work in Bali (including via your own business)
• Own, or have reliable ongoing access to, your own professional equipment: high-quality full-frame camera (Sony A7 series or equivalent), lenses, professional audio and stabilisation. Renting kit at the cost of the business is not an option. Your equipment is included in your rate
• Written equipment list (owned + access) before we agree terms
• Real flexibility: comfortable planning your week around a moving calendar rather than fixed hours
• Background presence: you can spend a day around founder life and work without changing the room
• Reliability with footage: organised, systematic and fast to deliver
• You understand content: what makes a vlog watchable, what editors need from a shoot, and what works on YouTube and Instagram
• You genuinely believe in the founder and what is being built. This is a personal brand

Nice to have

• Editing skills (selects, rough cuts or finished edits)
• Curiosity about AI tools changing production
• Multi-cam or larger event crew coordination experience

How we work

Hands-on Bali role. Filming days and event days cannot be done remotely. You work alongside Andi (brand and creative direction) and a video editor. Ross provides context, access and honest feedback; you help shape how the role works as trust builds.

• Contractor engagement for a one-month trial: you invoice AI Powered
• Around 10 hours per week to start, planned around shoot days rather than spread evenly, reviewed at the end of the trial
• Intention to grow as the brand and events scale if the trial works
• Trial slate agreed together (for example several vlog-style shoot days, footage delivered within 24 hours, and early September event planning)
• Basic supporting kit may be available (microphones, DJI Osmo); core video quality must come from your equipment

Engagement

One-month trial to test the working relationship on both sides. Rate and start date are confirmed with the successful candidate. Your own professional kit is included in the rate; equipment rental at the cost of the business is not part of this arrangement.

• Longer-term structure depends on trial fit and Indonesian employment / contractor options
• Week one: equipment list, trial package confirmation, brand walkthrough with Andi, meet the editor, set up the footage pipeline, book the first shoot day
