Job summary

Bayer CropScience Limited in Tangerang, Indonesia, is seeking a dedicated Utility Operator to support production by operating RO systems, compressors, N2 generators and water supply systems. The role ensures water quality, gas availability and safe plant operation.

You will monitor equipment performance, perform routine checks, and coordinate with maintenance and production teams to maintain uninterrupted processes and compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum senior high school or SMK/STM with experience in operating or maintaining utility equipment.
• Knowledge of autonomous maintenance execution is preferred.
• Familiar with plant production equipment and water treatment systems.
• Understanding of general safety standards (height, hot work, electrical safety, confined spaces).

Responsibilities

• Operate RO system with routine chemical loading, back wash and cleaning.
• Monitor RO chemical stock and ensure availability during operation.
• Operate compressors and monitor parameters to ensure compressed air readiness.
• Operate N2 generator and monitor parameters for amination processes.
• Monitor water supply system, deepwell controls, pumps and storage.
• Support aminat ion and formulation processes, including RM unloading and loading.
• Troubleshoot RO, compressors, N2 generator and water systems with maintenance support.

Job description

Utility Operator

Purpose

Operating Utility equipment (RO system, Compressors, N2 generator and water supply system) to support production processes and supporting amination & formulation process activities.

Major Tasks & Responsibilities

• Operate Reverse osmosis (RO) system including routine chemical loading, back wash and cleaning process, and parameter checking to ensure RO result water meets required specification.


• Monitoring chemicals stock of RO system to ensure their availability during RO operation.


• Operate compressors and parameter monitoring to ensure compressed air is available to support amination, formulation filling and packing process.


• Operate N2 generator and parameter monitoring to ensure N2 is available for amination process and raw material blanketing (MIPA and ammonia).


• Checking and monitoring water supply system (deepwell control system, water storage, water pumps) to ensure availability of water for production process, emergency eye wash, fire hydrant and amenities.


• Support Amination and Formulation process (RM unloading, RM manual loading to reactors and formulation tanks, etc).


• Perform troubleshooting in case any issue in RO system, compressors, N2 generator and water supply system, with support by maintenance team if required.

Work Relations

• Internal: Formulation Area Leader and operators, Shift Supervisor, Quality team, Warehouse team, Maintenance team, Packaging Area Leader and operators, HSEGA team.


• External: Contractor workers during project/maintenance works in Utility/AF area.

Qualifications

• Minimum Senior high school or SMK/STM with min 2 years experiences in operating or maintaining utility equipment, processing equipment and water treatment system.


• Have knowledge in autonomous maintenance execution.


• Have knowledge on plant production equipment.


• Have knowledge on troubleshooting of utility equipment and water treatment system.


• Have knowledge on general safety standards (working at height, hot works, electrical safety, confined space, etc).
