Role Description

The University Lecturer will deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and tutorials to undergraduate and/or graduate students in their area of expertise. Day-to-day responsibilities include preparing course materials and assessments, guiding students through learning activities, supervising academic work such as projects or theses, and providing constructive feedback. The Lecturer is expected to engage in research and scholarly activities, contribute to curriculum development, and participate in academic committees and community service aligned with the University’s mission. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Bandung, requiring regular presence on campus for teaching, mentoring, meetings, and academic events. The Lecturer will also be encouraged to build academic networks and collaborate with national and international partners to support continuous improvement of the learning process.

Qualifications

• Strong teaching and curriculum development skills, including the ability to design engaging lectures, assessments, and learning activities.
• Research and scholarly competencies, such as conducting academic studies, publishing in reputable journals, and participating in conferences.
• Academic advising and mentoring abilities, including supporting student development, supervising projects or theses, and providing guidance on academic pathways.
• Communication and collaboration skills, including clear verbal and written communication in English and Indonesian, and effective teamwork with colleagues and external partners.
• Digital literacy and educational technology skills, including use of learning management systems, presentation tools, and online learning platforms.
• Minimum of a Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (Doctoral degree preferred), with a strong academic record and alignment with one of Widyatama’s study programs.
• Demonstrated commitment to inclusive, student-centered teaching and the ability to work with learners from diverse backgrounds.
• Experience in higher education teaching or professional practice in the relevant field is highly desirable, along with familiarity with national and international accreditation standards.
