Waste is developing a Software as a Service (SaaS) waste management platform tailored specifically for recycling industry professionals. The platform offers features for waste producers, collectors, drop-off locations, recyclers, and incinerators. It is data-centric, providing comprehensive traceability and reporting capabilities. Our mission is to innovate and streamline waste management practices for improved efficiency.

Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in Bali for a UI/UX Designer. The UI/UX Designer will be responsible for creating mockups, visual designs, and prototypes. The role includes designing user interfaces and ensuring a superior user experience. The designer will collaborate with front-end developers to implement designs and continuously refine the user interface based on feedback and research.

As a UI/UX Designer at WWWASTE, you will be responsible for designing engaging, user-centered interfaces for our digital products. You will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into seamless and visually compelling user experiences.

Key responsabilities
  • Design wireframes, user flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for web and mobile applications
  • Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design feasibility and consistency
  • Create and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI component libraries
  • Present design concepts and rationale to stakeholders and incorporate feedback
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices
  • Ensure designs are accessible, responsive, and aligned with brand guidelines
  • Support the development team during implementation to ensure design quality
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field
  • 1–2 years of professional experience in UI/UX design
  • Proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
  • Strong portfolio showcasing web and mobile design projects
  • Understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
preferred skills
  • Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus
  • Experience designing for accessibility (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) standards)
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and collaboration tools (e.g., Notion, Slack)
