Job summary

Sulzer in Purwakarta, Indonesia, is seeking a TS FS Mechanic to provide hands-on technical support for repair and maintenance of turbines, gear boxes, pumps, and compressors in the workshop or at customer sites.

The role involves disassembly, alignment, preventive and breakdown maintenance, and using precision measuring tools and test equipment to ensure safe, efficient operation. Fresh graduates are welcome; 1–2 years in machinist or automotive mechanic roles are preferred.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates welcome; 1–2 years in machinist or automotive mechanic is preferred.
• Production Knowledge: precision measuring tools such as Dial Gauge, OD micrometers, ID micrometers, calipers.
• Familiar with drawings and English communication; TOEIC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Overhaul and repair turbines, gearboxes, pumps, compressors, and related equipment.
• Install rotating equipment and perform alignment/adjustment as needed.
• Disassemble, clean, lubricate, repair/replace faulty components, reassemble and test.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance with proper testing equipment.
• Use hydraulic press, pullers, drills, grinders, torches and precision gauges for checks.
• Follow instructions, drawings and codes of practice.

Make necessary alignment/adjustment to ensure correct operation.* Removes & dismantles equipment with maintenance problems; cleans & lubricate; repairs/replace faulty components; reassembles units and checks for efficient operation. Performs preventive & breakdown maintenance jobs.* Uses a variety of testing equipment to diagnose trouble in proper sequence. Also, uses tools such as hydraulic press, pullers, electric drills, grinders, heating torch as well as precision tools such as micrometer, caliper gauges & dial gauges for test-checking or repair work.* Performs/ensures maintenance work in accordance with instructions, drawings and codes of practice.**Competencies and behaviour required (What strengths needed?*** Requirement: minimum vocational high background: Automotive and Machining.* Possess General Knowledge of mechanical and overall maintenance. Familiar with Drawing Software is a Plus.
