About the job Traditional Market Manager - Sulawesi
The Tradition Market Manager will be responsible for overseeing the traditional market operations in both Western and Eastern Indonesia. This is a newly established position that requires a keen focus on traditional market strategies, particularly aimed at selling retail packs ranging from 1kg to 5kg.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing strategic plans to enhance market presence in traditional markets across Indonesia.
- Analyzing market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for increasing sales of retail packs
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with traditional market retailers and distributors.
- Coordinating with the sales team to ensure effective execution of marketing strategies and achievement of sales targets.
- Monitoring and evaluating the performance of sales initiatives and making necessary adjustments to optimize results.
- Conducting regular market visits to gather feedback and insights from customers and retailers.
- Collaborating with the product development team to ensure that product offerings meet market demands.
- Managing the budget for traditional market activities and ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
- Preparing detailed reports on market activities, sales performance, and market conditions for senior management review.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales and marketing within traditional markets, preferably in the food industry.
- Strong understanding of the market dynamics in both Western and Eastern Indonesia.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement successful sales strategies for retail packs
- Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills with traditional market retailers and distributors.
- Strong analytical skills to interpret market data and trends, and apply insights to strategic planning.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in market research and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
- Flexibility to travel frequently for market visits and customer engagement.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with budget management and resource allocation.
- Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
