Major Functions

The Technical Engineer reports to Chief Representative Officer based in BSD-Serpong on daily activities. Responsible for equipment service and maintenance, customer technical support functions and the related upkeep of the demonstration facility and equipment and parts inventory.

Assist Sales personnel to carry out product testing and demonstrations in-house or at customers’ plants. Good interpersonal skills for dealing with customers and company personnel.

Specific Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to customers, servicing and maintenance of equipment and machinery sold.
  • Travel to customer location to general technical discussion, service, inspect, repair and or provide technical support. Maintain good relationships with users, promote spare parts business and or service contract if needed.
  • Orders, maintains, proper storage and labeling of parts inventory.
  • Monitoring, retrieving, and returning of loan parts with customers.
  • Procurement of supplies, maintenance and operation of machines, preparation of products and samples as directed, write test report for work performed. Labelling and shipping of food samples and parts.
  • Provide technical assistance and recommendations for customers’ enquiries.
  • Preparation and participation in exhibition.
  • Have a flexible domestic schedule that will allow occasional missed meals or late arrival home.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Key Requirements
  • Diploma / University degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or similar is preferred with more than 5 years of strong mechanical experience as a service engineer or technician in machinery.
  • Having experience and good knowledge in the food and beverage industry is preferable.
  • Strong technical aptitude and willingness to learn and apply knowledge.
  • Strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines.
  • Willing to handle various types of food, beverage, pharmaceutical or other products related to work.
  • Independent, good time management, and willingness to travel on a frequent basis.
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence credibly at all levels including to client, customer, partner, and team in the organization.
  • Willing to response and provide support (if needed) within or out of office hours on certain conditions.
  • Willing to carry out other instructions from supervisors as needed to support the interests and growth of the company.
  • Basic knowledge of computer software and applications.
  • Good in Communication both English and Local language (speaking, reading, and writing).
