Job summary

PT Talenta Eksekutif Asia seeks a Data Center Technical Director to lead engineering integrity, solution design, and governance for large-scale data center projects in Jakarta Selatan, Indonesia.

You will oversee pre-sales solutioning and post-sales delivery, manage technical risks, and ensure compliance with TCCF and Uptime Institute standards across bidding and project delivery, coordinating with suppliers, consultants, and customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications, Electrical, Mechanical, Building Services or related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years hands-on experience in data center design, solution architecture, infrastructure engineering, or facility implementation.
• Experience managing both pre-sales design and post-sales delivery for large-scale data center projects (500+ racks preferred).

• Lead development of technical solutions, engineering designs, delivery strategies, and BOQ for large-scale data center projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to review blueprints and validate designs.
• Act as primary technical authority during pre-sales design for enterprise data center opportunities.

Job Role

The Data Center Technical Director is a senior technical leadership role responsible for overseeing the complete engineering integrity, solution design, and technical governance of large-scale data center projects. Acting as the primary technical authority throughout both pre-sales and post-sales phases, this role bridges solution architecture with on-site engineering execution to ensure every project is technically feasible, commercially competitive, and delivered according to international engineering standards. Working closely with engineering teams, project management, consultants, suppliers, and customers, the successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary design coordination, validate engineering solutions, manage technical risks, and ensure seamless execution from bidding through project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of comprehensive technical solutions, engineering designs, delivery strategies, and Bills of Quantities (BOQ) for large-scale data center projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams to review blueprints, validate technical designs, and ensure engineering consistency throughout project execution.
• Act as the primary technical authority during pre-sales solution design, supporting competitive bidding and proposal development for enterprise data center opportunities.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project implementation by managing engineering risks, validating design changes, and ensuring construction aligns with approved technical specifications.
• Oversee compliance with international data center standards, commissioning procedures, integration testing, and quality assurance frameworks, including TCCF and Uptime Tier requirements.
• Collaborate with regional and global engineering teams to localize and implement enterprise infrastructure solutions across large-scale deployment projects.
• Support suppliers, consultants, contractors, and project teams by providing technical guidance throughout the construction and commissioning lifecycle.
• Drive continuous technical improvement while ensuring engineering excellence, operational reliability, and successful project delivery.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in data center design, solution architecture, infrastructure engineering, or mission-critical facility implementation.
• Proven experience managing both pre-sales technical solutioning and post-sales engineering delivery for large-scale data center projects (500+ rack environments preferred).
• Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure including power distribution systems, UPS, HVAC, cooling technologies, modular data centers, and mission-critical facilities.
• Solid experience interpreting engineering drawings, performing load calculations, validating Bills of Quantities (BOQ), and coordinating multidisciplinary engineering designs.
• Strong understanding of commissioning processes, integration testing, TCCF, Uptime Institute standards, and overall data center delivery methodologies.
• Excellent technical problem-solving, stakeholder management, and cross-functional coordination skills within complex engineering environments.
• High resilience, adaptability, and willingness to work extended hours or weekends when required to support critical project milestones.
• Professional fluency in written and spoken English.
