Role Description

We’re looking for an inspiring, highly knowledgeable Teacher Trainer of Science & Mathematics to train Math and Science teachers in schools adopting an international curriculum.

In this role, you will deliver training programs aimed at upskilling school teachers in Science and Mathematics — helping them deliver engaging, high-impact lessons in the classroom. You will work directly with partner schools across Indonesia, from private national schools to international schools, acting as both a subject-matter expert and a hands-on coach for teachers at every stage of their career. This is a part-time, on-site role based in Jakarta or Tangerang, with travel to partner schools as required.

What You’ll Do:

• Design, develop, and deliver training programs, workshops, and in-house sessions for Science and Mathematics teachers
• Build training materials, session plans, sample lessons, and practical resources aligned with international curriculum standards
• Facilitate both offline and online training, adapting your delivery to different school contexts, class sizes, and levels of teacher readiness

Classroom coaching & support

• Model effective teaching strategies, lesson planning, questioning techniques, and assessment practices
• Conduct classroom observations and provide structured, constructive feedback to teachers
• Support teachers in translating training into real classroom practice through follow-up coaching and mentoring
• Support schools in implementing Science and Mathematics within an international curriculum framework
• Help teachers strengthen conceptual understanding, inquiry-based learning, and problem-solving approaches in Math and Science
• Stay current with developments in STEM pedagogy, assessment, and international curriculum standards

Partnership & impact

• Collaborate with school leaders, coordinators, and internal teams to identify training needs and recommend suitable programs
• Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, observation, and learning outcomes, then refine future programs accordingly
• Represent CNL Education professionally in schools, seminars, and education events

What Success Looks Like

• Teachers report higher confidence and competence in teaching Science and Mathematics
• Training sessions translate into visible changes in classroom practice
• Partner schools request repeat and expanded training programs

Qualifications

Required

• Education — Minimum a Master's degree in Science, Mathematics, STEM Education, or a closely related field (preferably a graduate of a UK, Australian, or Singaporean university)
• Language Proficiency — Highly proficient in English, with mastery at a minimum CEFR B2 level, or a Global Scale of English (GSE) score in the range of 59–66
• Curriculum Knowledge — Familiar with and has hands-on teaching/training experience in Math and Science using international curricula
• Experience — Minimum 3–5 years of classroom teaching experience in Science and/or Mathematics
• Skills — Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire adult learners
• Tech Savvy — Proficient in using digital learning platforms and presentation tools

Preferred

• Prior experience as a teacher trainer, instructional coach, subject coordinator, or head of department
• Experience working with Cambridge, IB, or other international curriculum frameworks
• Familiarity with inquiry-based, STEM, or project-based learning approaches
• Comfortable presenting to large audiences, including school leaders and parents
• Willingness to travel to partner schools across Indonesia
