Role Description

The Teacher role at English 1 (THE Group) is a full-time, on-site position based in Padang. The Teacher is responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons for young learners, using established curricula and teaching methods. Daily tasks include preparing lesson plans and materials, teaching classes, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to students and families. The Teacher also contributes to a safe, supportive classroom environment, encourages student participation, and collaborates with colleagues to maintain consistent teaching standards. Additional responsibilities may include participating in trainings, school events, and professional development activities to continuously improve teaching quality.

Qualifications

• Strong Teaching and Education skills, with experience working with young learners in a classroom setting.
• Ability in Lesson Planning and Training, including preparing structured lessons and supporting student development.
• Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with students, families, and colleagues.
• Relevant educational background in English, Education, or a related field; teaching certification or TESOL/TEFL is an advantage.
• Comfort working on-site in Padang, with a commitment to creating a safe, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
• Strong organizational skills, reliability, and a learner-focused mindset; prior experience in language teaching is highly beneficial.
