Job summary

Nestlé Indonesia is seeking a First Line Manager for the Panjang Factory in Lampung to lead frontline manufacturing operations, ensuring safe, efficient production and high quality. You will drive performance, optimize lines, and develop people to support continuous improvement initiatives.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, SHE, HR, and Supply Chain to deliver operational excellence in a fast-paced FMCG environment. Strong English and stakeholder management are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline.
  • Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food & beverage preferred.

We are looking for a talented First Line Manager to join our Operations team at Panjang Factory and play a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence, people development, safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

A Day in the Life of a First Line Manager

As a First Line Manager, you will lead frontline manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and high-quality production of Nestlé products. You will be responsible for optimizing line performance, managing resources effectively, developing people capabilities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading safety, health, environmental, and food safety compliance across production operations.
  • Ensuring achievement of production targets through effective operational planning and execution.
  • Driving line efficiency, productivity improvement, and asset optimization initiatives.
  • Managing workforce performance, capability building, employee engagement, and coaching activities.
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives through Nestlé Continuous Excellence (NCE), TPM, Lean, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with Engineering, Quality, SHE, HR, Supply Chain, and other key stakeholders to deliver operational excellence.

What Will Make You Successful

  • Bachelor's Degree in Food Technology, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or other related technical disciplines.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably within FMCG or food & beverage industries.
  • Experience leading and developing teams in a production environment.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across functions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and continuous improvement capability.
  • Familiarity with TPM, Lean Manufacturing, NCE, HACCP, QMS, and manufacturing KPIs is highly desirable.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
