Job summary

PT. Cosco Shipping Lines Indonesia is seeking a Tax Staff to join our finance team in Jakarta. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economics, with GPA 3.0 or higher, and at least two years of tax experience in shipping or logistics.

You will manage monthly tax reporting, VAT and withholding taxes, and support audits. Proficiency with Coretax, Brevet A & B, and strong English communication are required, with Mandarin a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Economics with GPA 3.0+
• Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Tax Staff
• Understanding of taxation in shipping/logistics is advantageous
• Familiar with tax applications, especially Coretax
• Holding Brevet A & B certification
• Able to prepare financial reports
• Strong knowledge of Indonesian taxation including: withholding tax art 21, art 23, art 15, art 26, art 4(2), art 25, art 29, VAT
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Mandarin language proficiency is an advantage

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely monthly tax reporting.
• Prepare and process tax payments in a timely manner.
• Monitor VAT Input and WHT payable outstanding to ensure they do not expire, VAT Input can be credited, and tax audit findings and administrative sanctions are minimized.
• Identify and implement process improvements in the company's tax procedures, including transactional taxes in finance operations, annual tax returns, data reconciliation, and tax equalization to support tax audits.
• Monitor changes in tax regulations and ensure the company complies with all applicable tax laws and regulations while meeting its tax obligations.

Job description

Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Economics from a reputable university with a minimum GPA of 3.00.

Minimum 2 years of working experience as a Tax Staff.

Understanding of taxation in the shipping line or logistics industry is an advantage.

Familiar with tax applications, especially Coretax.

Holding Brevet A & B certification.

Able to prepare financial reports.

Strong knowledge of Indonesian taxation, including: withholding tax art 21, art 23, art 15, art 26, art 4(2), art 25, art 29, VAT

Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
