Job summary

Inter Island Group, partnering with a specialized tax law firm in Jakarta, seeks an experienced Assistant Tax Manager to lead complex tax consulting, litigation, dispute resolution, and fiscal advisory engagements.

The role supports the Tax Manager and Partners, reviews deliverables for accuracy, and oversees client engagements while ensuring compliance with Indonesian tax regulations. On-site in North Jakarta with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional tax consulting firm or law firm.
• Proven experience handling tax audits, tax litigation, dispute resolution, and technical tax advisory.
• Must have passed both USKP A and USKP B; brevet A & B alone not sufficient.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Tax Manager and Partners in managing and executing client tax projects, ensuring technical accuracy and compliance.
• Review tax calculations, reports, and deliverables prepared by junior and senior team members to maintain quality standards.
• Handle end-to-end tax engagements covering tax compliance, tax review, tax advisory, tax due diligence, and transfer pricing.
• Manage tax dispute cases, including tax audits, SP2DK responses, objections, appeals, and judicial reviews (Peninjauan Kembali/PK).
• Coordinate with clients to obtain supporting documents, communicate project updates, and address tax-related matters.
• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior and senior team members to improve technical capabilities and workflow efficiency.
• Monitor changes in Indonesian tax regulations and assess their implications for clients' businesses.
• Support client relationship management and contribute to the development of long-term client partnerships.
