Your role

We are looking for a Tax Controller to support our EssilorLuxottica Professional Solutions business in Indonesia. The Business Controller serves as the financial leader of the lens business, leading it toward growth and profitability through financial planning, analysis and reporting. The role requires aligning financial decisions with the strategic objectives of the lens business. You are going to work closely with various departments to provide insights that help shape strategies and resource allocation decisions.

Main responsibilities:

Job Scope

• Oversees the company's tax obligations and ensures adherence to relevant laws and regulations.

Key Activities

• Ensuring accurate and timely filing of tax returns, managing tax audits, and responding to tax-related inquiries.
• Developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize the company's tax position while remaining compliant with the law.
• Identifying and mitigating tax-related risks, such as penalties, legal issues, and financial losses.
• Creating and reviewing company policies and procedures related to tax compliance.
• Oversee and manage the engagement with tax consultant.
• Keeping abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations and ensuring the company's practices are up-to-date.
• Effectively communicating with internal teams, external stakeholders (like tax authorities and external auditors), and clients regarding tax matters.
• Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting related to taxes.

Main requirements:

• A minimum of 3-5 years experience in Finance, Accounting and Tax, with preferably at least 2 years spent in Tax Consulting firm.
• Have Audit firm working experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance is required; postgraduate degree is welcome.
• Brevet Tax certification is a plus.
• Strong tax background.
• Good understanding of accounting.
• Strong Microsoft Excel technical background.
• Deep understanding of tax laws, regulations, and accounting principles.
• Ability to analyze complex tax issues, identify solutions, and make sound decisions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders and build strong relationships.

Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
