Job summary

Lutechresources is seeking a Sustainability Specialist to apply LCA and environmental analyses across projects, driving decarbonization and resource efficiency. You will collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Supply Chain to deliver ESG reporting, carbon accounting, and data-driven sustainability improvements aligned with international standards.

The role requires hands-on use of SimaPro and Power BI, with strong English and Bahasa Indonesia communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering or sustainability field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in LCA, decarbonization, or ESG projects.
• Hands-on experience with SimaPro for lifecycle modelling.
• Knowledge of ISO 14040/14044 and EPD frameworks.

Description

The Sustainability Specialist applies specialized technical expertise in sustainability with a focus on lifecycle assessment (LCA), decarbonization, and resource efficiency. This role is responsible for delivering sustainability analyses, supporting ESG initiatives, and identifying practical solutions to improve environmental performance across projects and operations. The specialist works with moderate guidance and collaborates cross-functionally to support sustainability goals, ensuring alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and international standards.

Responsibilities

The Sustainability Specialist is responsible for one or more of the following disciplines (Sustainability, Environmental).

Lifecycle Assessment & Environmental Analysis

• Conduct Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) using tools such as SimaPro to evaluate environmental impacts


• Perform embodied carbon analysis, carbon footprinting, and lifecycle-based decision‑making


• Develop Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) aligned with relevant standards


• Analyze resource efficiency and circular economy opportunities across projects

Sustainability & Decarbonization Initiatives

• Support and implement decarbonization strategies and carbon reduction initiatives


• Identify opportunities for improving sustainability performance across engineering, procurement, and construction activities


• Contribute to sustainability improvement programs and innovation initiatives

ESG & Reporting

• Support ESG reporting activities and ensure alignment with industry frameworks and client requirements


• Provide data analysis and insights using tools such as Power BI and carbon accounting methodologies


• Contribute to enhancing ESG data management systems and reporting processes

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

• Work closely with internal teams including Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Supply Chain to integrate sustainability considerations


• Collaborate with clients and external stakeholders on sustainability requirements and deliverables


• Coordinate with consultants or third parties for specialized sustainability assessments if required

Standards & Compliance

• Ensure alignment with international and industry standards such as:

Training & Knowledge Sharing

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sustainability, or a related discipline


• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, particularly in: Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Circular economy, Embodied carbon assessment, Carbon footprinting, Resource efficiency or decarbonization projects


• Hands‑on experience using SimaPro for lifecycle modelling and environmental impact analysis


• Strong knowledge of: ISO 14040 / 14044, Environmental Product Declarations (EPD), Lifecycle‑based decision‑making

Preferred Qualifications and Education

• Experience in industries such as EPC, fabrication, energy, manufacturing, offshore, or infrastructure is preferred


• Professional certification or formal training in LCA, SimaPro, or OpenLCA, including application of ISO 14040/14044 methodologies, EPD development, embodied carbon assessment, and circularity analysis, is preferred


• Familiarity with OpenLCA, Ecoinvent database, Power BI, and carbon accounting or ESG reporting methodologies is preferred


• Experience supporting client sustainability requirements, ESG reporting, and decarbonization programs, working closely with cross‑functional teams, is preferred


• Strong communication skills in both Bahasa Indonesia and English (written and verbal) are required
