Subcontracts Manager

KBR's Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a Subcontracts Manager to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia. This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas. The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The Subcontracts Manager to perform the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work.

Responsibilities
  • Qualify suppliers, issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and maintain subcontract files in accordance with established procedures
  • Oversee and perform the full range of procurement and administration activities associated with subcontracting work on the project
  • Under broad direction, is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related disciplines or sub-groups within a function
  • Use specialized knowledge or skills to solve complex and unique problems, or direct the daily activities of a business, technical support, or functional support team
  • Establish priorities for the completion of assigned tasks
  • Use judgment to interpret internal and external issues and develop best practices
  • May direct resources, prioritize tasks and provide guidance to less experienced team members
  • Rely upon experience, interpersonal skills, and broad knowledge of field to ensure task completion in compliance with policies, procedures, and business strategy
  • Intuitively work amongst the project's requirements and corporate policy to ensure overall compliance
  • Negotiate with external vendors to secure advantageous terms
  • Interface with all levels of the project team - and be able to represent and interface with all levels of internal and/or external management and corporate organization persons
  • Gather and compile data essential to solicitation, negotiation, and administration of purchase orders to meet project requirements
  • All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in construction science, engineering, business, finance, supply chain, or a related field or equivalent work experience
  • 7 + years of directly related experience
  • Subcontracts experience within the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Excellent MS Word and MS Excel skills
