Job summary

PT Japfa Comfeed Indonesia Tbk - Unit Sidoarjo is seeking a Steel Structure Engineer to design, review, and supervise steel structures, ensuring safety and project compliance. You will analyze designs with AutoCAD 2D, SAP2000, ETABS, and STAAD.Pro, and prepare technical reports alongside site coordination across Indonesia.

You should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's in Civil/Structural Engineering, possess English proficiency, and be willing to travel.

Qualifications

• Experience in steel structure fabrication, erection, and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Develop and review steel structure designs, drawings, and calculations per standards and safety requirements.
• Analyze technical aspects of design, fabrication, erection, installation, and implementation.
• Supervise fabrication/erection to ensure compliance with drawings, specs, quality, and schedules.
• Inspect structural components to verify workmanship and dimensional accuracy.
• Use AutoCAD 2D, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro for design, analysis, and documentation.
• Review drawings, documents, material specs, and project docs for accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to support project execution.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with OHS and company standards, including work at height.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, and progress updates.
• Work independently and in multidisciplinary teams, and be ready for travel to sites in Indonesia.

Steel Structure Engineer

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and review steel structure designs, drawings, and engineering calculations in accordance with applicable engineering standards, project specifications, and safety requirements.
• Perform technical analysis and problem-solving related to steel structure design, fabrication, erection, installation, and implementation.
• Supervise and monitor steel structure fabrication and erection activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules.
• Conduct inspections of steel structure components and installations to verify workmanship, structural integrity, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.
• Utilize engineering software such as AutoCAD 2D, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, and other relevant applications to support structural design, analysis, and documentation.
• Review technical drawings, engineering documents, material specifications, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with internal departments, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders to ensure effective project execution.
• Monitor project progress and identify technical issues, potential risks, and deviations from approved plans, proposing appropriate corrective actions.
• Ensure that all project activities comply with applicable occupational health and safety (OHS), quality, and company requirements, particularly during work at height and on-site activities.
• Prepare technical reports, inspection records, progress updates, and other engineering documentation as required.
• Work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team, including under challenging project conditions and tight deadlines.
• Be prepared to undertake business trips or assignments to company locations and project sites throughout Indonesia.

Job Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma (D3) or Bachelor's Degree (S1) in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience in steel structure fabrication, erection, and inspection.
• Experience in steel structure design and implementation, preferably with a strong understanding of design-and-build project processes.
• Proficient in AutoCAD 2D and structural engineering software such as SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, or equivalent applications.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Ability to process, analyze, and present technical data accurately and effectively.
• Basic to active English proficiency, with the ability to understand technical documents and communicate as required.
• Willing and physically able to work at height in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
• Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team, manage competing priorities, and perform effectively under pressure.

Tanggung Jawab Pekerjaan

• Menyusun, mengembangkan, dan meninjau desain struktur baja, gambar teknik, serta perhitungan rekayasa sesuai dengan standar teknik, spesifikasi proyek, dan persyaratan keselamatan yang berlaku.
• Melakukan analisis teknis dan pemecahan masalah terkait desain, fabrikasi, erection, instalasi, dan implementasi struktur baja.
• Melaksanakan supervisi dan pemantauan kegiatan fabrikasi serta erection struktur baja untuk memastikan kesesuaian dengan gambar yang telah disetujui, spesifikasi teknis, standar kualitas, dan jadwal proyek.
• Melaksanakan inspeksi terhadap komponen dan instalasi struktur baja untuk memastikan kualitas pengerjaan, integritas struktur, ketepatan dimensi, serta kesesuaian dengan persyaratan proyek.
• Mengoperasikan perangkat lunak teknik seperti AutoCAD 2D, SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, dan aplikasi terkait lainnya untuk mendukung desain, analisis struktur, dan dokumentasi teknik.
• Meninjau gambar teknik, dokumen rekayasa, spesifikasi material, dan dokumentasi proyek untuk memastikan keakuratan serta kelengkapan dokumen.
• Berkoordinasi dengan departemen internal, kontraktor, vendor, dan pihak terkait lainnya guna mendukung kelancaran pelaksanaan proyek.
• Memantau kemajuan proyek serta mengidentifikasi permasalahan teknis, potensi risiko, dan penyimpangan dari rencana yang telah disetujui, termasuk mengusulkan tindakan perbaikan yang sesuai.
• Memastikan seluruh aktivitas proyek memenuhi ketentuan keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja (K3), standar kualitas, serta persyaratan perusahaan, khususnya dalam pekerjaan di ketinggian dan aktivitas di lapangan.
• Menyusun laporan teknis, catatan hasil inspeksi, laporan perkembangan proyek, dan dokumentasi rekayasa lainnya sesuai kebutuhan.
• Bekerja secara efektif, baik secara mandiri maupun dalam tim lintas fungsi, termasuk dalam kondisi proyek yang menantang dan dengan tenggat waktu yang ketat.
• Bersedia melakukan perjalanan dinas atau penugasan ke lokasi perusahaan dan proyek di seluruh wilayah Indonesia.

Kualifikasi Pekerjaan

• Pendidikan minimal Diploma (D3) atau Sarjana (S1) jurusan Teknik Sipil, Teknik Struktur, atau bidang lain yang relevan.
• Memiliki pengalaman dalam fabrikasi, erection, dan inspeksi struktur baja.
• Memiliki pengalaman dalam desain dan implementasi struktur baja, diutamakan yang memahami proses pelaksanaan proyek dengan pendekatan design and build.
• Mampu mengoperasikan AutoCAD 2D serta perangkat lunak rekayasa struktur seperti SAP2000, ETABS, STAAD.Pro, atau aplikasi sejenis.
• Mampu mengoperasikan Microsoft Office, khususnya Excel, Word, dan PowerPoint.
• Mampu mengolah, menganalisis, dan menyajikan data teknis secara akurat dan efektif.
• Memiliki kemampuan bahasa Inggris pasif hingga aktif, terutama dalam memahami dokumen teknis dan berkomunikasi sesuai kebutuhan pekerjaan.
