Job summary

Cimic Group is seeking a CAD Drafter with a background in civil or structural engineering to convert sketches into detailed 2D drawings and layouts using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.

The role supports project teams by ensuring accuracy, updating drawings after reviews, and maintaining documentation in line with standards. Training may be provided; willing to relocate to project site if required.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or CAD drafting certification.
• Solid understanding of structural detailing, reinforcement detailing and civil infrastructure design.
• Experience in CAD drafting for structural (reinforced concrete and steel) and civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed 2D drawings, layouts using AutoCAD or other CAD software.
• Convert rough sketches, hand drawings, and specifications into accurate technical drawings.
• Revise and update drawings based on feedback from engineers, architects, or project managers.
• Ensure all drawings comply with company, industry, and regulatory standards.
• Maintain organized records of drawings, revisions, and documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to resolve design and drawing issues.
• Assist in preparing drawing registers when required.
