Location: Kaurna Country, headspace Edinburgh North

About The Role

Join the dedicated team at headspace Edinburgh North, where you’ll play a key role in supporting young people aged 12–25 to improve their mental health and wellbeing. As a Mental Health Clinician, you’ll work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver focused, evidence‑based psychological interventions in a welcoming, youth‑friendly environment. You’ll provide specialist triage, assessment, and care coordination for young people, deliver individual and group therapy using evidence‑based approaches, and develop engaging group programs that support mental health recovery. Working collaboratively with GPs, psychologists, and other allied health professionals, you’ll also participate in supervision, team meetings, and stakeholder collaboration, and connect clients and families with additional supports and community services when needed.

Experience Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience working within a fast‑paced environment
  • Experience in the provision of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and/or other evidence‑based therapies with young people aged 12‑25 who have a mental health disorder
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in involving young people in their own care and of inclusive practice principles
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in family inclusive practice
  • Demonstrated experience, knowledge and skills in delivering age and developmentally appropriate care
Qualification And Other Requirements
  • Social Work Qualification – with Mental Health Accreditation through the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
  • Current or willing to obtain a Working with Children’s Check (WWCC)
  • Current or willing to obtain a National Police Check (NPC)
