  • Prepare operational reports for principals and internal teams.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Shipping Agency Staff to be the operational pivot for our vessel and cargo handling services. This role is crucial in managing all aspects of a ship's port call, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and exceptional service delivery to our principals.

Key Responsibilities (Daily and Core Duties)
  • Coordinate and supervise all aspects of vessel arrivals and departures, including pilotage, tugs, and berthing.
  • Oversee and optimize Husbandry Services for vessels (e.g., crew change, provisioning, bunkering, medical assistance, and coordination of minor repairs) ensuring timely and efficient port calls.
  • Manage and monitor the vessels Clear-In and Clear-Out processes with port authorities.
  • Act as the primary liaison with Port Authorities, Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, and other relevant government bodies to ensure full legal and maritime compliance.
  • Maintain an up-to-date working knowledge of Indonesian maritime regulations and port procedures.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of all cargo documentation, such as Bills of Lading, Manifests, and Delivery Orders.
  • Monitor and supervise cargo loading and unloading operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and adherence to established procedures and deadlines.
  • Manage depot operations and equipment utilization effectively, optimizing resource allocation.
  • Prepare and submit accurate operational reports (including EPDA and Departure Reports) to principals and internal departments promptly.
  • Foster strong relationships with principals, clients, and internal departments.
  • Address and resolve operational issues promptly and effectively.
  • Contribute to team development and operational oversight.
Requirements
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree (S1) in Shipping, Maritime Studies, or a relevant field.
  • Experience: Proven experience of 2 years in a similar role within a shipping agency or related maritime industry.
  • Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is mandatory for international communication. Mandarin Chinese (written, verbal, and reading) is highly advantageous due to extensive communication with global partners.
  • Legal Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of Indonesian maritime regulations, port procedures, customs, and immigration protocols.
  • Attitude & Skills: Exceptional problem-solving abilities, a proactive attitude, and strong teamwork capabilities.
  • Commitment: Strong commitment to work arrangements and a flexible approach to dynamic operational demands (working outside standard hours may be required).

This position is offered under an outsourcing employment arrangement. Successful candidates will be employed by a third-party outsourcing company and assigned to work full-time at PT. Sinotrans Overseas Indonesia. Candidates must be willing to work under this specific employment structure.
