Job summary

PT. Pelayaran Nasional Santan Prima Bahari is seeking a Marine Electrician to install, maintain, and repair electrical systems on board vessels. You will test with voltmeters and ohmmeters, diagnose issues, and perform emergency repairs at sea, in port, or in dry dock. Strong record-keeping and adherence to safety protocols are essential.

You will inspect, replace wiring and components, and work from blueprints while coordinating with the team to ensure reliable, safe vessel operations.

Qualifications

• Familiar with Marine Vessel Equipment.
• Familiar with AC/DC Electrical system in vessel.
• Having at least a 2-year working experience as a Marine Electrician, or any relevant role.
• Meticulous, proactive with positive attitude and able to work autonomously.
• Tech-savvy and proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace wiring equipment or fixtures.
• Examine wiring, equipment, or fixtures with testing devices (ohmmeters, voltmeters).
• Use power tools and testing equipment for maintenance.
• Diagnose faulty systems or parts to locate breakdown causes.
• Inspect electrical systems to spot hazards or defects.
• Prepare sketches or follow blueprints for wiring layouts.
• Perform routine maintenance and emergency repairs.
