Job summary

One Life Adventures is hiring a senior WordPress Developer to manage daily content updates, maintenance, and page creation in WordPress using the Divi builder.

You will troubleshoot issues, integrate online booking systems via API, and support SEO with structured data while ensuring site health and performance across devices.

You will collaborate with a small remote team and communicate progress clearly, bringing English communication proficiency and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with WordPress, including theme customisation, plugin management, and site maintenance.
• Proficiency with the Divi theme builder (strongly preferred).
• Demonstrated knowledge of technical SEO principles.
• Experience monitoring and improving Core Web Vitals, including diagnosing CLS, LCP, and INP issues.
• Experience working with and integrating online booking systems or similar third-party platforms via API.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to identifying root causes and applying lasting solutions.
• Excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
• A high standard of attention to detail, particularly when working on a website with real business impact.
• Ability to work independently, manage your own time, and collaborate effectively within a small remote team.

Responsibilities

• Carry out day-to-day website content updates, edits, and maintenance tasks within WordPress
• Build and maintain pages and modules using the Divi theme builder
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues through a structured diagnostic process, implementing clean and sustainable fixes
• Manage and develop integrations with online booking systems, including API and widget implementations
• Support SEO implementation across the site including on-page elements, schema markup, and site health maintenance
• Ensure changes to the website are made carefully and with consideration for downstream effects, avoiding the introduction of new issues
• Collaborate closely with the Digital Projects Manager and wider team, communicating progress and flagging blockers promptly
• Monitor and enhance Core Web Vitals and overall site performance across desktop and mobile
• Contribute to the development of reusable code modules and documented processes
