Job Overview

Lead and manage teams in the property and engineering sections.

Assess and underwrite property insurance risks in accordance with company guidelines and risk appetite.

Analyze submissions, evaluate risks, and determine appropriate terms, premiums, and coverage.

Collaborate closely with brokers, agents, and internal stakeholders to develop tailored insurance solutions.

Analyze, monitor and manage the profitability of the property and engineering portfolio.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior underwriters when needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from reputable universities, preferably in Technical, Finance, or Insurance sectors.
• At least 10 years of experience preferred in property and engineering underwriting within the general insurance industry.
• Strong knowledge of risk assessment, underwriting principles, and policy wording.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented, organized and an excellent communicator.
• Candidates with General Insurance certifications (A3IK, A2IK) are preferred.
