Job description

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer in EMEA.

In this role, you will act as a key pre‑sales expert guiding strategic sales cycles while also mentoring a global team of Solutions Engineers. You will spend most of your time directly supporting opportunities across the EMEA region, leading discovery, designing value‑driven demonstrations, and shaping technical solutions aligned to institutional needs. As a player‑coach, you will also contribute to developing standards of excellence, strengthening enablement programs, and elevating demo quality worldwide. This position offers the opportunity to influence product direction, collaborate cross‑functionally, and represent deep expertise in student services workflows. It is ideal for someone who thrives in high‑impact conversations and wants to drive both individual and team success.

  • Accountabilities
  • Lead pre‑sales activities across EMEA, including discovery, persona‑aligned demos, value‑based presentations, RFP strategies, and proof‑of‑concepts.
  • Partner with Account Executives and regional sales leaders to support pipeline development, strengthen competitive positioning, and accelerate deal velocity.
  • Translate institutional needs into clear, actionable solution requirements and deliver compelling presentations to senior university stakeholders such as CIOs, VPs of Student Affairs, Deans, and Directors of Employability/Careers.
  • Represent deep understanding of student services workflows, employability models, and priorities across the student lifecycle.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and informal coaching to Solutions Engineers globally, including demo reviews, enablement sessions, and skill development aligned with core competencies.
  • Support resource allocation across teams based on skills, capacity, and deal priority while contributing to onboarding frameworks, certification models, and role expectations.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Product Marketing, Professional Services, Enablement, and Customer Success to ensure continuity across the client journey.
  • Deliver structured field feedback to guide roadmap priorities and go‑to‑market messaging and contribute to scalable demo assets, competitive frameworks, workflows, and regional use cases.
  • Requirements
  • Direct experience in higher education student services leadership roles such as employability, student affairs, student support, academic advising, or workflow‑driven student experience functions.
  • Proven success supporting enterprise or large institutional SaaS sales cycles across multiple regions or regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, or providing informal team leadership.
  • Exceptional communication, with the ability to extract hidden requirements, gain alignment, and present confidently to senior university audiences.
  • Strong technical understanding of cloud‑based enterprise technologies, sales cycles, solution selling methodologies, and higher‑education systems.
  • Advanced problem‑solving skills with the ability to map complex challenges, outline solutions visually, and translate ambiguity into deliverables.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure, work both independently and collaboratively, and maintain strong attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills with MS Office tools and the ability to learn internal systems such as NetSuite.
  • Solid business acumen in enterprise SaaS and related financial measures.
  • Willingness to travel up to approximately 50%.
  • Benefits
  • Competitive salary aligned with senior‑level pre‑sales expertise.
  • Remote‑friendly role with flexibility across the EMEA region.
  • Professional development opportunities and access to global enablement resources.
  • Collaboration with international teams and exposure to global markets.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including health coverage (where applicable), time‑off policies, and additional perks.
  • Opportunities to influence product strategy and contribute to high‑visibility initiatives.
