Job summary

Viasat in Batam, Indonesia, is seeking 2 Senior Software QA to support quality assurance across enterprise applications, with primary focus on Oracle, SAP, Billing, and related enterprise platforms.

You will be responsible for test planning, test execution, defect management, automation opportunities, AI-assisted testing practices, and end-to-end validation across integrated business processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Experience testing enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, Finance, Billing, Procurement, or Supply Chain systems.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, qTest, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to adopt and utilize AI-powered tools to improve testing efficiency and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and develop test plans and test cases.

• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with project teams to validate system changes and assess cross-system impacts.

• Identify opportunities for automation and contribute to automation development.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to improve test design, execution, defect analysis, and QA productivity.
• Participate in requirement reviews and provide quality-focused feedback early in the lifecycle.
• Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Share knowledge and contribute to expanding QA capabilities across the broader team.

What you'll do

We are seeking 2 Senior Software QA to support quality assurance activities across Enterprise Business applications, with primary focus on Oracle, SAP, Billing, and related enterprise platforms.

In this role, you will be responsible for test planning, test execution, defect management, automation opportunities, AI-assisted testing practices, and end-to-end validation across integrated business processes.

You will partner with Business Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and Business stakeholders to ensure high-quality delivery of Global IT solutions. The role will also leverage modern AI-powered tools to improve testing efficiency, test coverage, defect detection, and overall quality outcomes.

The day-to-day

• Analyze business and functional requirements and develop test plan and test cases.
• Execute functional, integration, system, regression, and end-to-end testing across Oracle, SAP, Billing, and other enterprise applications.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects through resolution.
• Collaborate with project teams to validate system changes and assess cross-system impacts.
• Support release validation and production readiness activities.

What you'll need

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance or Quality Engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related discipline.
• Experience testing enterprise applications such as ERP, CRM, Finance, Billing, Procurement, or Supply Chain systems.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira, qTest, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to adopt and utilize AI-powered tools to improve testing efficiency and productivity.

What will help you on the job

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience testing Oracle ERP, Oracle Cloud, SAP ECC, or SAP S/4HANA.
• Knowledge of financial, procurement, order management, or supply chain business processes.
• Strong SQL and database validation skills.
• Experience with enterprise automation frameworks and reusable component design
• Experience with test automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, or similar platforms.
• Familiar with AI-powered development, testing, or productivity tools such as Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot, or AI-assisted test generation.

Nice to have:

• Programming experience using Java, Python, SQL, or similar technologies for test automation.
• Experience with source code management and version control tools such as GitHub.
• Familiar with Agile delivery methodologies, CI/CD, and automated deployment practices.
• Experience using AI tools to improve software quality, automation, defect analysis, or testing productivity.
• Experience working in global and cross-functional teams.
