Accountabilities
- Lead testing strategy across projects, ensuring product quality, reliability, and scalability throughout the development cycle.
- Evaluate technical designs, identify quality gaps early, and provide actionable recommendations to improve engineering outcomes.
- Develop, refine, and maintain robust testing frameworks for UI, unit, integration, and non‑functional tests.
- Collaborate with engineering and product teams to promote a shared responsibility for quality and elevate testing standards.
- Implement metrics‑driven approaches to optimize test coverage, release confidence, and continuous delivery practices.
- Contribute to a culture of excellence by improving tooling, enhancing observability, and mentoring peers on best practices.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as an SDET in SaaS environments.
- Expertise with UI‑driven test frameworks such as Playwright or Cypress.
- Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills and advanced experience with unit testing tools like Jest.
- Proven ability to build integration test frameworks and apply non‑functional testing approaches, including performance, accessibility, and chaos testing.
- Solid understanding of CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab CI.
- Good knowledge of relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL and familiarity with observability tools such as DataDog or New Relic.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in Agile environments.
- Nice‑to‑have experience: PHP familiarity, coaching engineers on testing, developing custom test tooling, contract testing approaches, open‑source contributions, and security testing practices.
