What you will do
Perform basic preventative maintenance, repair, installation, commissioning, and general servicing activities.
Conduct routine communications with customers, addressing and meeting their needs.
Inspect clients' current HVAC systems for effectiveness and safety.
Be able to perform and deal with Water Cooled Chillers and Air Cooled Chillers.
Provide our customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items. As a trusted advisor you will provide solutions and outcomes at the time of service.
Service Technician Duties & Responsibilities (How you will do it)
- Travel to customers residency in a timely and professional manner.
 
- Perform installation, testing and commissioning, contract maintenance service, breakdown troubleshooting and repair of air conditioning equipment in accordance with Installation Operation and Maintenance Manuals, Service Manuals, Work Instructions, and good trade practices.
 
- Diagnose HVAC systems with electrical and mechanical defects, adjust and repair systems, and perform warranty services.
 
- Ensure compliance with appliance standards and Occupational Health and Safety.
 
- Carry out jobs in a timely and professional manner and perform proper testing, documenting and submitting results.
 
- Project and uphold company image in the industry at all times.
 
- Maintain a detailed inventory of all HVAC equipment and resources.
 
- Ensure accuracy and timely submission of all service reports and time sheets.
 
- Participate in all technical training, guide and train new technicians on the job.
 
- Comply with service standards, work instructions, and customers’ requirements.
 
- Work after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays with short or no notice.
 
- Provide recommendations and solutions to ensure facilities run efficiently, including upselling opportunities.
 
- Support proposals to provide recommendations and solutions.
 
Qualifications
- High school diploma or suitable equivalent.
 
- 3+ years commercial HVAC experience.
 
- Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration, and heating.
 
- Valid driver’s license and good driving record.
 
- Proficient electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
 
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
 
- Proficient in reading schematics and work plans.
 
- Ability to work after hours, over weekends and on public holidays with short or no notice.
