Job summary

SIGMATECH is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to lead SIT/UAT execution, design test scenarios, and manage defects across the SDLC. The role emphasizes API testing, SQL/database validation, and file testing (XML/JSON/CSV) with middleware and SFTP considerations.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of QA experience, practical knowledge of integration and file testing, and a strong command of End-to-End testing methodologies in a dynamic IT services environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience as QA Engineer, Test Analyst, or SIT Tester.
• Strong SIT/UAT execution skills and defect management.
• Proficient in SQL and database testing.
• Hands-on API testing using Postman or SoapUI.
• Experience in Integration Testing and File Testing (XML, JSON, CSV).
• Solid understanding of End-to-End testing methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end SDLC testing lifecycle: test prep, execution, defect management, retesting, and UAT support.
• Design and maintain comprehensive test scenarios and test cases based on project requirements.
• Execute SIT and support UAT to ensure solution quality.
• Validate API integration, middleware integration, SFTP transfers, and data mapping.
• Conduct database/SQL testing and file format validations (XML, JSON, CSV).
• Test batch/scheduler, reconciliation, and error handling/retry mechanisms.
• Track, log, and manage defects using standard issue-tracking tools, collaborating with development teams for resolution.
