Job summary

Baker Hughes Batam is seeking a Quality Control Inspector/Operator-Expert to oversee final product quality on site in Batam. You will perform dimensional inspections, verify gauges, and maintain traceable records per QMS, while supporting FAI and in-process checks.

Ideal candidates hold a Diploma or technical high school with hands-on inspection experience, able to read drawings and use measurement tools, and ready to work in shift-based patterns at the Batam site.

Qualifications

• Diploma or technical high school with relevant experience in inspection.
• Ability to read technical drawings and verify dimensional data.
• Familiarity with inspection tools, gauges and measurement methodologies.
• Experience in hardness testing and phosphate visual inspection.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems and HSE awareness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee final quality of products and maintain inspection records.
• Review routing packages (spec/drawings/picklists/document revisions).
• Support First Article Inspection and in-process inspections.
• Verify gauges, calibration and validate reports from outsourced processes.
• Record inspection results and raise NCRs for non-conforming items.
• Maintain compliant inspection documentation per QMS.

As a Quality Contorl Inspector, you will be responsible for overseeing the final quality of our innovative energy products. You will keep records up-to date and use a variety of inspection equipment to proactively test and report any defects.

As a Quality Control Inspector, you will be responsible for:

• Routing Package review (Spec, Drawing, Picklist, Document Revision)
• Providing dimensional, COC, inspection report and traceability record in MO package
• Supporting First Article Inspection (FAI) and in-process inspection activities.
• Verifying gages and tool calibration, validate report from Outsource process.
• Performing inspection as per work order (Dimensional, Hardness, Phosphating, Test and Assembly)
• Recording inspection results accurately and raise a Non-Conformance Report (NCR) for non-conforming items
• Maintaining inspection records complete, accurate, and retained per QMS requirements.
• Participating in Quality & HSE program and proactively involve in improving Quality/HSE Culture in Batam Site

**Fuel your passion**

To be successful in this role you will:

• Have a Diploma or technical high school with 3 years' experience.
• Have previous experience in the inspection and measurement of component parts in a similar manufacturing industry.
• Be able to read and understand technical Drawings, Familiar with tools and gauges for measurement
• Have ability to perform detailed dimensional inspection of component parts
• Be able to perform hardness testing and report verification, perform phosphate visual inspection
• Have knowledge to verify Hydro test parameter and report validation
• Be able to perform Test and Assembly inspection
• Have knowledge of Quality Management Systems and HSE awareness .
