Senior Mechanical Engineer (MEP & Project Coordinator)

About the role

Join PT SMART CHILLERS SYSTEMS' as a Senior Mechanical Engineer (MEP & Project Coordinator). In this full-time role based in Jakarta, you will play a key strategic role in delivering innovative mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) solutions for our growing portfolio of projects. You will coordinate and oversee the technical delivery of complex projects from start to finish, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive lifting plans and procedures for heavy equipment, ensuring safety and efficiency.
• Lead the design, analysis, and implementation of HVAC systems for various industrial and commercial projects.
• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) design, ensuring seamless integration and compliance with industry standards.
• Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and models using AutoCAD.
• Act as a Project Coordinator/Manager when required, overseeing project timelines, budgets, and stakeholder communication to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including clients, architects, and other engineers, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
• Conduct site inspections, resolve technical issues, and ensure quality control throughout the project lifecycle.

What we're looking for

• Minimum 8-10 years' experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in the MEP or HVAC industry.
• Demonstrated expertise in the design, installation and commissioning of commercial and industrial MEP systems.
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fire protection systems.
• Excellent project management and coordination skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering design tools.
• Min. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Strong ability to work independently and deliver high quality result with minimal supervision, ensuring timely completion of project deliverables.
• Ability to read, write and speak in English is MANDATORY.
