WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As member of Footwear Manufacturing team, you will be working closely with teams across the enterprise - Consumer Creation, Nike Explore Team (NXT), Sourcing, Chemical Engineering, Modernization, Manufacturing Systems Engineering and our Manufacturing Partners. You will engage with leadership in Manufacturing and Engineering, as well as factory teams, to ensure the proper implementation of standardized best practices on the factory workshop floor. Additionally, you will partner with Footwear Manufacturing Systems Engineering and Manufacturing factory teams to evaluate effectiveness of global strategic initiatives and collaborate with Consumer Creation, Manufacturing Partners, and Manufacturing Systems Engineering teams to drive effective activation of advanced manufacturing capabilities.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to play a crucial role within our Footwear Manufacturing and Engineering team. A robust engineering background is essential, with specific experience in footwear manufacturing being highly advantageous. You will possess strong problem-solving abilities, be an effective team player, and demonstrate clear communication skills. Additionally, as a senior member of the team, leadership capabilities are required to guide our factory partners. To support these qualifications, the following criteria are necessary:

  • Minimum 6 years of experiences in manufacturing, footwear experiences preferably.

  • Bachelor’s degrees in technical engineering, industrial and manufacturing.

  • Strong influencing skills and the ability to interact effectively with others.

  • Proficient communication skills in English, both written and spoken, to engage with multiple stakeholders at a high level.

  • The ability to lead and mentor teams with confidence, while fostering a mastery of fundamental principles.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

You will drive operational improvements, ensure product and process excellence, and support sustainable growth across Nike’s Manufacturing Partners.

Manufacturing Excellence:

  • You will standardize and ensure consistent metrics at factory sites, review data, identify opportunities and validate partner plans and solutions to deliver improvements.

  • You will assess the overall processes effectiveness/changes, and support implementation & proliferation of digital systems and tools to improve manufacturing effectiveness and performance.

  • You will collaborate with Consumer Creation, Manufacturing Partners, and Manufacturing Systems Engineering teams to drive effective activation of advanced manufacturing capabilities.

  • You will play a critical role to ensure Nike standards are met throughout commercialization and provide inputs to resolve issues.

Product Excellence:

  • You will connect manufacturing with Consumer Creation to ensure manufacturability and process efficiency is addressed at factory sites.

  • You will Drive franchise model Calibration, Standardization and Optimization initiatives across manufacturing sites.

  • As part of the role, you partner with Manufacturing System Engineering and factory teams to scale foundational elements of Quality Management System (QMS), use real time data to validate effectiveness of factory QMS, identify and close gaps in factory QMS.

Sustainable Growth:

  • You will assess and support new facility ramp up optimization and engineering readiness.

  • Additionally, you will also support efforts to grow capacity within existing footprint and facilitate training and ensure comprehension of Nike Manufacturing Best Practices.
