Job summary

Grab is seeking a Senior iOS Engineer to own and evolve the iOS side of the MiniApp platform. You will build reusable SDKs, improve parity with Android, and scale the platform for partner integrations across Southeast Asia.

You will work with Android, backend, QA, product, and partners to deliver reliable experiences and provide technical leadership through architecture reviews and mentoring.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of professional iOS development with Swift.
• Experience designing or maintaining mobile SDKs or platform components.
• Strong knowledge of iOS architecture, lifecycle, and network/ persistence.
• Experience with WKWebView, JavaScript bridges, RESTful APIs, secure client-server.
• Solid API design, versioning, testing strategy, and release management.
• Hands-on with XCTest, unit/integration tests, and CI/CD for iOS.
• Ability to diagnose production issues using logs, metrics, traces, and debugging tools.
• Excellent collaboration across mobile, backend, QA, product, and partners.
• Mentoring engineers and guiding architectural direction.
• Experience with UIKit, SwiftUI, security, observability a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain iOS SDK capabilities and native entry points.
• Improve SDK reliability, performance, security, and backward compatibility.
• Drive parity across iOS and Android with cross-platform contracts.
• Partner with backend engineers on services, authentication, and telemetry.
• Build tests, release tooling, sample apps, and technical docs.
• Investigate production issues and contribute to incident response.
• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and partner teams on requirements.
• Provide technical leadership through architecture reviews and mentoring.
