Position Overview

As a full‑stack Senior PHP Developer, part of a cross‑functional agile team, you will have a significant role in our growing Engineering department supporting the development of a new communication platform.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, scalable modules and maintain unit and functional tests using PHP and JavaScript.
• Build reusable components and front‑end libraries for future use based upon UI/UX wireframes.
• Collaborate with the team to produce software design and architecture.
• Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.
• Develop documentation throughout the software development life cycle.
• Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience with PHP (7.x and 8.x) and CodeIgniter 4 / Laravel framework.
• Experience in JavaScript and jQuery.
• Experience in HTML and CSS.
• Strong understanding of object‑oriented programming (OOP) principles.
• Experience with design patterns in software development.
• Strong skills in using relational and non‑relational databases (MySQL, Elasticsearch).
• Proficiency in Git, including branching and merging strategies.
• BS/MS degree in computer science, software engineering, or equivalent with programming experience.
• Fluency in English.

• Bootstrap / Responsive design.
• Experience building JavaScript/CSS Frameworks or shared component libraries used in large scale production websites.
• Experience in Angular FE implementations.
