Job summary
Golden Agri-Resources (GAR) is seeking a Senior Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer for our Medan, Indonesia plant. You will oversee installation, calibration, testing, and commissioning of E&I systems, ensuring safe, reliable plant operations.
You will mentor technicians, coordinate with contractors, and develop preventive maintenance programs to improve efficiency and uptime. Proficiency with SAP and safety standards is essential.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics or instrumentation engineering required.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical & instrumentation in manufacturing or process settings.
- Familiar with safety standards (OSHA, IEC, PUIL) and electrical codes.
- Experience using SAP for maintenance planning and reporting.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee loop checking, calibration, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of E&I equipment.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and company HSE requirements.
- Troubleshoot complex E&I systems and identify root causes for corrective actions.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend reliability improvements.
- Coordinate contractors and teams during maintenance, shutdowns, and commissioning.
