Job summary

BYD Indonesia seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design, evaluate, implement, and optimize electrical systems for BYD's flash charging infrastructure across Indonesia.

You will review electrical drawings, conduct load calculations, coordinate with utilities, and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards while supporting expansion of the EV charging network.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering, power systems, EV charging infrastructure, utilities, renewable energy, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution systems, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and electrical design principles.
  • Experience with EV charging technology, high-voltage systems, and electrical infrastructure projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in electrical design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, or similar engineering tools.
  • Familiarity with Indonesian electrical standards, regulations, and utility connection processes.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and English; Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

  • Ensure compliance with electrical standards, safety regulations, and company engineering requirements.
  • Analyze operational performance and reliability of charging stations, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.
  • Collaborate with project, operations, and business development teams to support successful charging infrastructure expansion.

Job Summary


The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the design, evaluation, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems supporting BYD's flash charging infrastructure. This role ensures charging facilities are designed and operated in accordance with technical standards, safety regulations, and project requirements while supporting the expansion of BYD's EV charging network across Indonesia.
