Job summary

Flex is building an Embedded Power Manufacturing site in Batam and seeks an EHS Engineer to lead environmental, health, and safety programs. You will drive compliance with Indonesian regulations, ISO standards, and RBA, while partnering with global teams to align practices with corporate standards.

Your role includes developing training, conducting safety reviews, and coordinating audits and reporting to site leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Engineering, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of EHS experience in manufacturing, including 2 years in lead or supervisory role.
• Certified AK3U (Ahli K3 Umum) is mandatory.
• ISO 14001/ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, Fire Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Chemical Management, and Electrical Safety certifications are preferred.
• Experience with Indonesian environmental and occupational safety reporting systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the site's EHS strategy, objectives, KPIs, SOPs, budget, team development, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Oversee environmental permitting activities (RKL-RPL), hazardous waste management, and hygiene monitoring.
• Lead occupational safety, risk management, machine safety, LOTO, Permit-to-Work, incident investigations, and contractor safety programs.
• Manage ISO 14001, ISO 45001, and RBA systems, audits, and compliance activities.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees.
• Conduct Pre-Startup Safety Reviews for new buildings, equipment, and processes.
• Lead EHS communications, meetings, and engagement across the site.
• Prepare EHS performance reports for site, regional, and global leadership.
• Collaborate with customers, regulators, and cross-functional teams to drive EHS compliance and business goals.
• Maintain accurate EHS records and documentation for audit readiness.
