Job summary

Paper.id is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to bridge development and operations, designing deployment strategies, automating workflows, and ensuring scalable, reliable services in Jakarta.

You will own CI/CD pipelines, incident leadership, performance tuning, and capacity planning for high‑volume fintech traffic, while mentoring teammates and driving best practices across the organization.

Qualifications

• Experience with containerization tools Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong cloud experience AWS and Azure.
• Automation tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Scripting languages Python, Ruby, or PowerShell.
• CI/CD pipelines experience.
• Monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK.
• Ability to analyze complex issues and develop solutions.
• Hands-on with high-throughput production systems.
• Performance tuning: load balancing, autoscaling, caching, pooling, queries.
• Capacity planning and cloud cost efficiency.
• Production incident leadership with RCA/postmortems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement automation scripts to streamline deployment and operations.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure seamless feature integration and reliability.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, building, and deployment.
• Implement monitoring and logging tools to track performance and drive improvements.
• Work with operations to maintain scalable, highly available infrastructure.
• Create technical documentation and provide guidance to colleagues.
• Analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions to improve performance.
• Mentor junior team members and promote knowledge sharing.
• Own the reliability of multi-service fintech platform; define SLOs for critical services.
• Lead capacity planning and traffic management for peak-load scenarios.
• Drive cost optimization while preserving reliability (GKE tuning, egress, resources).
