Job Description
  • Ensure social compliance meets mandatory national regulations and relevant international standards if required.
  • Maintain social management system documents and, if necessary, develop new documents at both corporate and subsidiary levels.
  • Map affected communities, stakeholders and potential conflict hotspots and conduct conflict resolution.
  • Monitor the realization of social commitments within AMDAL/UKL‑UPL requirements (National‑EIA) and ESIA (ADB‑IFC‑WB‑Lenders) requirements in an integrated manner.
  • Monitor and supervise the implementation of specific Social Management Plans, including Construction Environmental and Social Management Plans, Community Health Safety Security Plans, Livelihood Restoration Plan, Indigenous People Plan (IPP) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) plans.
  • Communicate with other parts of the project organization such as the HSE Team, CSR & External Relations Team, Corporate Communication Team, Permitting Team and HR‑GS Team.
  • Assist the Corporate Social and Security Manager to liaise with the lender's consultant on social compliance.
  • Assist the Corporate Social and Security Manager in communicating with national, provincial and local authorities (including Military and Police) and local communities as appropriate.
  • Assist the Corporate Social and Security Manager in ESDD (environmental and social due diligence) if required.
  • Assist the Corporate Social and Security Manager in the Sustainability Report (SR) Program with Global Reporting Initiative (GRI), Sustainalytics and MSCI versions, including relevant security audits both internal and external (SRGRI#410 Security Practices and SRGRI#413 Local Communities).
  • Assist the Corporate Social and Security Manager to develop and implement social policies, procedures, and work instructions, and prepare and execute budget and program.
  • Assist subsidiaries if requested to conduct stakeholder mapping, review and analyze stakeholder concerns and issues related to site projects and operations in non‑technical aspects, identify stakeholder responses, social and environmental impacts including risk analysis and management, and provide recommendations and expertise on applied treatment for each stakeholder scenario to ensure proper engagement treatment (Stakeholder Engagement Plan/SEP).
Job Qualification
  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in any major, preferably with a military or police background.
  • Minimum ten (10) years of experience handling social and community relations, with security experience considered an advantage.
  • Ability to engage with relevant stakeholders at every level and with local affected communities.
  • Strong knowledge and ability to conduct social investigations, risk and impact assessment and mitigation.
  • Understanding of ESIA, AMDAL and UKL‑UPL.
  • Good knowledge of national social regulations.
  • Understanding of multi‑stakeholder engagement and ability to handle community grievance redress mechanisms.
  • Knowledge of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles.
  • Fluent in English, both speaking and writing.
  • Computer proficiency.
